Around the Web #6

A brand new round-up of webby links: from banned books, new technologies, to movies and a bit of controversy.

Goodreads
Recently, there has been a lot of controversy surrounding the new Review Guidelines at Goodreads. The new policy certainly roused the book-loving community and raised many questions. But whether you agree or not, it’s always best to be informed. So here are the rules, the discussions, and a great post on the subject.

Banned Books Week
This past week we celebrated the Banned Books Week, sponsored by American Library Association and there were a great number of articles about the banned books all around the web. Here are a few that caught my attention.

Divergent
Two brand new Divergent movie posters. Yay! I can’t wait to see this one. I have to admit, I wasn’t too keen on all the casting they’ve done for this movie, but I totally don’t mind looking at these two posters – gorgeous!

Kindle & Apple
While everyone was sharing their love for banned books and/or discussing the new rules over at Goodreads, both, Amazon and Apple, were making news of their own. Amazon just introduced a new installment in its Kindle Fire series, while Apple set course to bring autographing to eBooks. Looking forward to seeing what these guys will come up with next!
