Mexican Vacation

Mexico

Hi guys! As you probably know by now I'm back from my vacation and life is in full swing here. We arrived last Sunday night and were greeted with first snow the following morning, which thankfully melted right away. But I still dearly miss the sandy beach and spending afternoons sunbathing by the pool with a fruity drink and my Kindle in hand. Vacation was wonderful and relaxing and full of books... However, my grandiose plans to get some reviews done utterly failed – I blame it all on addicting books I’ve been reading which I didn’t want to put down. So, I’ve been playing catch up this week and am hoping for a productive weekend because I can’t wait to share with you all the wonderful books I’ve read while away. Also my library requests just came in so I have plenty to keep me busy for the near future. Lots of fabulous things to come – I promise.

For those of you curious about our hotel experience, we stayed at Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. It was actually my first time in Mexico and I quite enjoyed it, aside the rainy weather. The all-inclusive experience certainly offers its benefits and I got a bit spoiled by it. We’ve found both food and drink enjoyable, as well as entertainment activities and events which were aplenty. Due to weather we ultimately decided against sightseeing outside the hotel, but there is certainly no lack in possible trips and activities to be done. All in all, I thought the hotel staff did a great job and made our experience that much more pleasant, and I would be happy to recommend this hotel to others. It is not the biggest or fanciest resort but I would still rate it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

[Note: I’m temporarily retiring my weekly Around the Web post. If you want to see this feature come back please let me know.]

Victoria, xoxo

    1. Thank you Mindi! :) It's funny, I realized I haven't taken too many pics of myself since I'm usually the one behind the camera. And looking through 100+ pictures most were of the beach, the sea, animals and palms, oh an the hubby of course!
