Please follow via Bloglovin (& other thoughts)

The ultimate demise of Google Reader…

As many of you know, Google Reader will be retired on July 1, 2013. And, to those of you who have kindly followed (or will follow) the blog, I ask that you consider doing so either via Bloglovin, FeedBurner, or other service of your choice other than Google Friend Connect (“GFC”) that I hear might be going away in the near future as well. I myself have found Bloglovin quite an agreeable service. It offers the ease of transition with an option to import your Google Reader content once you sign up with them. Of course, there are plenty of other platforms to choose from, so the choice is all yours!

Some other thoughts...

It feels as if for the past month (or few weeks at least) I’ve been living in a crazy world where days, weeks, months [?!], seemed to have morphed together. I can’t particular say that I’ve accomplished or participated in anything great or exciting – it’s just life has gotten a bit hectic. But, it’s OK!

Work has picked up its pace and I’m more or less settled in my new company [and it’s about time – I’ve been here since last November]. Actually, July should be quite busy for me so I might disappear for the first few weeks of the months, but fear not – I shall be back.

On the other hand, the blog has picked up some speed too. I know I’ve already said so a few times, but I’m still in awe of how addicting of an activity blogging is. And, part of it is the fact that I have you, my friends and readers. So, I want to say “Thank You!” to all of you who follow or stop by the blog, and support me in this crazy endeavor. Perhaps, it is premature on my part, as the blog is not even 6 months old, but I feel grateful nonetheless.

Starting the blog, I’ve never imagined that it will see the world beyond my own eyes. And, for that, I have to give credit to my inspiration – an amazing group of passionate readers at All Souls Trilogy Discussion group on Facebook and Armitage4Clairmont [you know who you are], who have raised the bar on reading, writing, researching, and expressing opinions. Also, to my husband and my two dogs who, understandingly, have allowed me to spend a lot of my free time immersed in the life of the blog.

Thank You!

Writing style…

On an unrelated note, I’ve spied this the other day on Joseph Robert Lewis’s blog and I had quite a bit of fun playing with this toy as Mr. Lewis refers to it. Indeed, I’m sure this program is not perfect but it is quite fun [check it out!]. And, what do you know? It told me that I write like Jane Austen and Vladimir Nabokov. Thanks for a confidence boost I Write Like – I’ll take that any day!
